Grand Master An
35 years of TaeKwonDo experience
I came to America about 20 years ago with my wife, brother and sister. In 1990, I started to teach Taekwondo in Brooklyn. My first Do-jang was located at 68th Street - 11th Avenue. It was a small location, but it was the start to my success. Today, I have two large Do-jang, one located at 1406 - 65th Street and the other at 306 Kings Highway in Brooklyn. I no longer have the 11th Avenue location, but some of my students have relocated to one of the two do-jang.
Between the two locations, there are two thousand students and I promoted one thousand students to black belt.
I am also the president and head coach of the following organizations:
- 2004 Kyungmin College TaeKwonDo Diplomacy Department, Advisor
- 2004 US Hwan KwonDo Federation, President
- 2004 World TaeKwonDo Master Association President
- 2003 The World TaeKwonDo Federation, President Citation
- 2003 The Korean TaeKwonDo Association, President Citation
- 2001 - 2004 New York State TaeKwonDo Association, Treasurer
- 2000 New York State Governor Cup TaeKwonDo championship, Director
- 1997 World TaeKwonDo Master Association Demo Team, Chairman
- 1996 International Championship, Chairman
- 1995 US National Colligate TaeKwonDo Team, Coach
- 1993 - 1994 US National Colligate TaeKwonDo Team, Coach
Come and join us! Be part of An's TaeKwonDo family. I hope you will visit either both of my do-jang or the one that is closest to your house.
